Today, I arrived in Nagpur, the third largest city in Maharashtra and a major city in the Vidarbha region. The city is named after the Nag River and has a history dating back 3000 years.
To get here, I travelled through Narsinghpur, Lakhnadon, and Seoni, all located in Madhya Pradesh. I also passed through the Pench National Park in MP and the Bhander Range Forest in Maharashtra. The road through Lakhnadon went through a scenic forested area, and at one point, I crossed the Tropic of Cancer in the south of Sagar.
I stopped only once for breakfast at Bala Ji Rajasthani Dhaba, where I was pleasantly surprised to have one of the best cups of tea I’ve had in a while. The riding comfort today was excellent, although it was a bit chilly when I set out from Sagar.
Today’s travel time was seven hours, covering a distance of 412 km. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to Hyderabad.
